Learning to trade forex online is easy. Learning to select the right
dealing firm and to trade forex well and at a profit is more of a
challenge.

There are several outstanding reasons why learning to trade forex is a
worthwhile educational project. Forex, or foreign exchange trading is
the granddaddy of them all in the trading field. Daily volumes are into
several trillions of dollars. The huge size of the forex market
reflects the basic use of money by everyone in the modern world. This massive
activity every business day means that the skilled forex trader has a
virtually unlimited pool of money to tap into almost at will.

After learning to trade forex the more successful forex traders can
make hundreds, even thousands, of dollars every business day right from
their own home or office computer. One of the most successful forex
traders ever, George Soros, once made over a billions dollars in just a
couple days time by correctly forecasting that the Bank of England would
not be able to support an overvalued British Pound.

After Soros completed his analysis he took massive action and placed a
large short position against the Pound. Of course, having the guts to
believe in your own analysis and to be able to pull the trigger is key
to any traders success. As the Pound went into a tailspin Soros rode his
trade all the way down and made his fortune.

Now for a few good reasons to why learning to trade forex may be a
super idea for those who have risk capital to trade with:

1. The forex market is where the huge money is. There are no limits as
to what a skilled trader can earn from the forex market.

2. The forex market is truly worldwide and in major currencies almost
always quite active. You can trade the forex market around the clock
five days a week.

3. The forex market is super liquid. This means that there is always a
tight dealing quote at which you can buy or sell active currencies.

4. Forex trading is fast paced. Your trades will almost always move
into profit or hit a stop loss point very quickly.

5. Forex currencies usually trend one way for extended time periods. It
is not unusual for a currency to trend generally in one direction for
three to five years at a time. When you trade with the major trend you
indeed have a friend.

If there is thing you need to remember above all others about learning
to trade forex it is this one. Your chances of being profitable with
your trade are increased tremendously when you trade with the major
trend. When you enter your trade on a correction within the trend your odds
of completing a successful trade increase even further.

As an example, let us say that you have identified the Euro as being in
a major uptrend against the US Dollar. This is easy to determine by
looking at a long term chart of the Euro against the Dollar. Instead of
immediately placing a trade into the forex market and buying the Euro at
its current level you wait until a correction takes place and buy the
Euro on a pullback. This takes some patience and discipline to do but
the payoff can be huge.

As the major trend kicks in your Euro position is immediately in
profit. Then you have the pleasant decision to make as to when to take your
profit. Learning to trade forex can be broken down into a series of
decisions like this. You can learn to trade forex by breaking trades down
into a series of easy to follow rules. But you must perform better than
most traders and follow your rules and not trade unless trades fall
within your trading parameters.

The key to learning to trade forex at a profit is careful analysis as
to the direction of the trend and then waiting for a good entry point.
Patience and discipline are the hallmarks of the most successful forex
traders.

by Cebza Maseko

Buying a corporate gift can become a daunting task. Giving it is worse
since you have the intention to gain business ties, connect with
clients, and send your message of giving thanks. Knowing the following
corporate gift buying essentials will increase your chances of attaining
these goals.

Know the cultural differences – For Germans, red roses mean romantic
intentions. For Chinese, a white gift wrapping symbolizes death. For
Japanese, a gift in sets of 4 means death. These are some of the cultural
differences or you can say symbolisms that you need to take note of when
considering giving a corporate gift to someone of another culture. You
may have a clean intention but it is safe to follow and respect who
they are and what they believe in.

Check the IRS deductions – The IRS Publication 463 is something you
should know of since business gifts in America are tax deductible (as much
as $25/person in a tax year). This excludes shipping the gift and
packaging. Other rules may apply to other types of business structure.

True corporate Christmas gifts

Since gift giving is part of reliving the Christmas spirit, here are
some of the popular items that are used as corporate Christmas gifts for
years:

Calendars – Another year is coming and you want your company to be
remembered for the whole year to come. What you should give? A calendar!
Most companies give away this especially to their costumers during the
Christmas season. It is cheap, safe, and of course, it possesses company
name and logo right at someone else’s home or office for the next 365
days.

Gift certificates for restaurants – Another option for a corporate
Christmas gift would be gift certificates for restaurants. This is also one
of the safest and one of the most appreciated types of corporate
Christmas gift someone will receive since it appeals to everyone of any age.

Other corporate Christmas gift ideas you can consider are apparel,
automotive accessories, beauty products, bags and cases. pocket and purse
items, office accessories, cards and bookmarks, pens and writing
instruments, office supplies, snacks, food and beverage, planners, computer
media and accessories, office equipment, golf equipment, sporting goods,
sports accessories, electronics and gadgets, novelty items, hats and
caps, health products, safety equipment, home and house ware, magnetic
items, mugs, cups, and drink ware, tools and hardware items, outdoor
items, watches, wine, spirit, and accessories.

by Amy Nutt

Many companies are operating on a shared hosting service. A shared web
hosting service is
(http://www.fusepoint.com/english/html/application_development.html) web
hosting that shares the web server with many other websites. Each
site basically has its own partition that keeps it separate from all of
the other sites. This method tends to be a rather economical method of
maintaining a website because the cost of the server maintenance is
shared by a number of other people.

A dedicated hosting service, on the other hand is hosting in which the
website owner leases the entire web server and it is not shared by
anyone else. This gives the company complete control over the server and
allows the company to make all decisions regarding what operating system
to use, what hardware to use, etc.

Indicators that your company may need a dedicated hosting service

The company is in need of more traffic. By having a dedicated hosting
service, bandwidth is increased significantly.

The company needs a better return on investment. In many instances, the
shared hosting service can actually reduce the return on investment
because of the amount of traffic not being generated. If the site does
receive a high number of visitors, bandwidth may be exceeded and
potential sales are lost. A dedicated hosting service can actually increase
the return on investment.

The company is changing to an operating system or hardware that is not
supported by the shared hosting service. Through a dedicated hosting
service, operating systems and hardware can be chosen.

The company is in need of more services provided by the host. Shared
hosting tends to offer less services than a dedicated server such as
backup

Being parked next to a website that shares the same server and has a
bad reputation hinders online business. This can actually give browsers
a bad impression of the company’s site although the company has nothing
to do with the neighboring site’s doings.

The company needs more disk size than what the shared hosting service
offers. With a dedicated hosting service, the company can choose things
such as disk space and bandwidth as well as many services that can be
added on.

The company needs a managed server. Many shared hosting services have
un-managed servers, which can lead to technical difficulties. Many
times, businesses cannot afford down time of any kind, so a dedicated
hosting service will decrease the down time.

The company needs reliable customer service. Sometimes shared hosting
services do not have dedicated customer service. There may be one
person answering the phone or a few people who do not know much about the
service. Dedicated hosting services have customer service
representatives ready to take on all issues and inquiries.

The company needs multiple domains. Many companies decide that they
are in need of multiple domains. Where shared hosting may result in the
company sharing domains with others or only allowing them one domain, a
dedicated hosting service will allow the company to have multiple
domains on the same account.

The company needs databases. MYSQL databases are very important to
many businesses and shared hosting does not usually offer databases. If
they do, they may only offer one. A dedicated hosting service may offer
several.

So these are indicators that a company may need to move from shared
hosting to a
(http://www.fusepoint.com/english/html/managed_hosting/fully_managed.html)
dedicated hosting service. It will bring more business and more
respect from visitors by having a legitimate domain name with all of the
bells and whistles a website should have.

We provide your business variety of secure and reliable services
ranging from
(http://www.fusepoint.com/english/html/managed_hosting/colocation.html)
colocation hosting, dedicated hosting and fully managed services.

The way business is being run all over the world has changed due to the
emergence of credit cards. Actually, credit cards have proved their
necessity and they have soon become almost indispensable for many people.
Credit card companies have popped out on the credit market like
mushrooms after the rain in order to fill in the requests. JPMorgan Group is
an example of bank cards suppliers.

Plastic money are now available in different branches, offering many
benefits in order to cover a large array of needs of each individual. We
can counter various categories offered by Chase credit card and
therefore we mention the general purpose plastic card, entertainment cards,
retail cards, rebate cards for the frequent shoppers, travel cards,
student cards, college & university alumni cards, military cards, auto and
gas cards, cards to support organizations, business credit cards and
finally sport cards.

Let us now show you the characteristics of the various credit cards.
This can represent an important guide for the clients who are searching
for the category that suits their requests. The main aim of the affinity
cards is to offer clients different great advantages and services. If
you often buy from the same traders or retailers you can get cash
rewards and rebates by using rebate credit cards. This is for sure a great
proposal when your business implies habitual shopping for your needs.

Chase entertainment cards provide opportunities for customers to VIP
access during concerts, and other special events. The plastic cards for
travelers offer travel-related discounts and benefits for the card
holders. If you travel frequently, this is the best option for you. You can
enjoy travelling and avail of benefits at the same time.

To continue with, the credit cards for auto and gas expenses offer
clients rewards and rebates on their daily acquisitions. Everybody has to
travel from their houses to their workplaces or any other place they
want to visit. This means costs that simply cannot be avoided. The retail
credit card represents another class in which clients are provided
certain corresponding points for acquisitions they make with the Chase
credit card. Shortly, the more acquisitions you make, the more reward
points you have.

A client has the possibility to redeem the points in exchange for
shopping certificates, entertainment and other advantages. In addition,
Chase credit cards take into consideration the needs of the students by
creating student cards. This represents an extraordinary chance for
students to train for the world of plastic money and also help them create a
great credit history.

College and university alumni cards as well as the cards that are
designed to support organizations are also available. Both retired and
currently serving members of the military can also avail of the military
plastic money. Finally, the company had made available business cards
which business establishments and merchant outlets can use with low
interest rates. These cards also come with business-related benefits.

AdSense may be one of the fastest and easiest ways to monetize traffic to your web site whether you have products or services for sale or you simply provide free content to your visitors.Simply stated, Google AdSense enables website operators to place some code on their site that connects to Google’s ad server content database and pulls keyword-relevant advertising onto the web pages. The webmaster gets paid a percentage of the fee that Google receives from the advertiser every time a visitor clicks on an ad. There is no charge for the webmaster to participate in AdSense. All costs are covered by the advertiser who participates in the AdSense sister program called AdWords.

Google’s sends out digital “robots” which use proprietary algorithms to parse the host web page and analyze the content in an effort to determine what keywords are relevant. It reports its findings back to Google’s ad server which then serves ads matching those keywords. Given that the entire process is automated, the “ad robots” do a pretty good job of getting the advertising content right most of the time.

The History of Google AdSense

Google AdSense has its roots in the old “Google Content-Targeted Advertising” program which they introduced back in March of 2003. Although this program was similar in concept to AdSense, there was no automated way of participating. Each webmaster negotiated a deal directly with Google, and websites that served less than 20 million page views per month were not welcome to participate.

As Google grew, they began to see how much money they were leaving on the table by excluding the smaller sites, which greatly outnumbered the sites serving over 20 million hits that were willing to serve other people’s ads. Their answer to that problem was AdSense which has no minimum traffic requirements and is open to all sites meeting Google’s content and decency requirements.

How much can you make running Google AdSense?

The answer to that question depends upon three factors:

1. How much traffic your site draws
2.How many visitors click on your ads
3.How much those ads pay per generated click

With some ads paying as much as $5 or more, it’s possible that you can generate a serious income with AdSense. There are relatively well documented cases of some people earning as much as $500 per DAY and more. Numbers like that are rare exceptions however. Even so, there is no reason why you can’t earn somewhere around $1,000 per month, or more, once you get the hang of it.

How to get started using Google AdSense

Make a visit to Google’s AdSense Site (https://www.google.com/adsense/) and sign up. Make sure that you read their Acceptable Use Policy and that you follow their content requirements. Google has their own “AdSense Police” who will have no problem booting you out of the program if you fail to walk the line.

Using Google AdSense on your site is like collecting free money. There’s no reason not to do it and potentially thousands of dollars worth of reasons to do it.

by: Alden Smith

Adsense is beginning to make a huge impact on the affiliate marketing industry today. Because of this, weak affiliate merchants have the tendency to die faster than ever and ad networks will be losing their customers quickly.

If you are in a losing rather than winning in the affiliate program you are currently promoting, maybe it is about time to consider going into the Adsense marketing and start earning some real cash.

Google is readily providing well written and highly relevant ads that are closely chosen to match the content on your pages. You do not have to look for them yourselves as the search engine will be the doing the searching for you from other people’s source.

You also don’t have to spend time in choosing different kind of ads for different pages. Google makes it very easy for you, with no codes to mess around for different affiliate programs.

You will be able to concentrate on providing good and quality content, as the search engines will be the ones finding the best ads in which to put your pages on.

You are still allowed to add Adsense ads even if you already have affiliate links on your site. It is prohibited, however, to imitate the look and feel of the Google ads for your affiliate links. One of the things you can do, however, is to utilize Google’s custom palette to customize your Google ads, making them to appear a part of the web page itself. The idea here is to match background and links to match the theme of your site. People on the internet today are trained to click on a link that is blue, and if your Google ads have the same theme as your web page, it makes the Google ads appear to be a portion of your “content.”

You can also filter up to 200 URLs. This gives you a chance to block ads for the sites that do not meet your guidelines, and also block competitors. Remember that it is unavoidable that Adsense may be competing for some space on web sites that all other revenues are sharing.

Owners of small sites are allowed to plug a bit of a code into their sites and instantly have relevant text ads that appeal to your visitors appear instantly on your pages. If you own many sites, you only need to apply once. Then ,you are issued a unique “publisher ID”, which can be used on any site you currently own. A small snippet of Javascript is placed on your site in the location you wish the ads to appear in, and generally speaking, the ads from Goggle will appear in minutes. This ends the hassle of having to apply to many affiliate programs, and keeping track of many different URL’s and user ID’s and passwords.

As Google ads are very easy to customize, and can be placed anywhere on your site you wish, you can experiment with placement, colors, and themes. Many tricks are available to the resourceful webmaster, including adding images in conjunction with your Google ads to make them more noticeable.

The payment rates can vary extremely. The payment you will be receiving per click depends on how much advertisers are paying per click to advertise with the use of the AdWords. Advertisers can pay as little as 5 cents and as high as $10-12, sometimes even more than that too. Some savvy lawyers are currently paying as high as $75 for advertising the keyword mesothelioma! And you, as the ad publisher, are earning a share of that money generated.

If your results remain stagnant, it can help if you try and build simple and uncluttered pages so that the ads can catch the visitor’s eyes more. It sometimes pay to differ from the usual things that people are doing already. Google has many tutorials, including a “heat chart” which shows you where the best placement for ads are. You will need an account to access these tutorials. Sign up for an Adsense account at https://www.google.com/adsense/?sourceid=aso&subid=ww-et-awhome&hl=en_US. It is also a refreshing sight for your visitor once they see something different for a change.

It is still wise to look at other people’s information and format your Adsense in a like manner. A wise old business axiom is to “find a good business model, then copy it.” Let others do the hard work for you, and learn from a successful site. Just think about it as doing yourself a favor by not having to work too hard to know what content to have. Look to sites that have high page rank, and carefully observe their layouts, their content, and placement of their ads. A little time spent doing research can put dollars in your pocket down the road.

Publishers have the option of choosing to have their ads displayed only on a certain site or sites. You can also have them displayed on a large network of sites if you so desire. Google now has the option to allow other people to advertise on your site. This only makes good sense. If you are marketing to a tightly defined niche, you can place your own ads, written by you, on site that allow this option. The choice is yours, depending on what you think will work best to your advantage.

It is important to note that you cannot choose certain topics only. If you do this, search engines will not place Adsense ads on your site and you will be missing out a great opportunity in making hundreds and even thousands of dollars cash.

Topics to be avoided includes gambling, firearms, ammunition, tobacco or drugs. If you are being offered more cash in exchange of doing Adsense with these kinds, it is just like signing your own termination paper.

With all the information that people need in your hands already, all you have to do is turn Google Adsense into your own cash cow. It all boils down to a win-win situation both for the content site owners and the webmasters or publishers.

Our website, http://www.for-the-record.biz, is a good source of information for the beginning marketer. We present a lot of content for those needing more information on a variety of subjects.

By Donna Gunter

I’ve been publishing an email newsletter since 2000, and have to admit I wasn’t very attentive to the whole process at the beginning. Hindsight is 20/20, and I could kick myself for not taking this strategy very seriously, as my email newsletter list is my gold mine because it’s filled with subscribers who already know something about me.

Each week after I send out my ezine, I receive several emails that begin, “Hi Donna! My name is …, and I know you don’t know me, but I know you, as I’ve been reading your newsletter for a couple of years now.” I love those emails, as I know that my reader has begun to like, trust and respect me — all the characteristics that need to be in place for them to decide to buy something from me.

Many of you may be asking, “Well, Donna, isn’t the email newsletter dead? Everyone is blogging now.” True, blogging is quite an effective way to publicize your business. However, I believe in the power of doing both. There are people who don’t have the time/energy/desire to read a blog and would rather have the info delivered directly to them in their inbox, with no additional clicking required.

How can you grow your own list? Or, if you’re just starting an email newsletter, how can you get subscribers to the list? Here are 15 strategies I’ve used over the past 5 years to get subscribers to my email newsletter list:

1. Tell your clients, colleagues, friends and family. Just like a birth announcement, tell everyone you know about your new “baby” — your email newsletter. Because you want a list in which subscribers have opted in, don’t add people directly to the list. In fact, many ezine distribution services don’t permit you to do that. Instead, provide them with an email sign-up link, or send them to the form on your web site where they can subscribe to your newsletter.

2. Have a sign-up box on every page of your web site. You never know on what page someone will land in your web site. As I look at my web site statistics, I am amazed at some of the search terms that visitors use that make them land on an internal page of my web site. Don’t take a chance that you might lose them — offer them the option to sign up for your newsletter on every single page of your web site.

3. Make your sign-up box compelling. Don’t have a simple sign up box that says, “Join our mailing list.” Yuck–who wants to voluntarily receive more email? Not me! Give your visitor a reason to sign up for your newsletter, i.e. “Join over 2000 other solo business owners who receive weekly advice on how to get more clients online.”

4. Create one clear call to action. If you have too many options for action on your web site, your visitor will become overwhelmed and leave. Conversely, if you don’t ask your visitor to take an action, you potentially lose that person forever. Make your primary call to action on your web site a request to subscribe to your email newsletter. It’s short, simple, to the point, and will help you build your contact database gold mine.

5. Ask for only 2 pieces of info: a first name and primary email address. Many web surfers are want to disclose as little personal info as they can, as they fear receiving spam or phishing emails. Make it easy for people to sign up for your list — require them to disclose only a minimal amount of info to be added to your newsletter list.

6. Create a free give-away for new subscribers. If you know your target market well, you know what problems they struggle with daily. Write a short report/article/ecourse that provides the answer to a very overwhelming problem that they have. They can receive the answer to this problem (your freebie) by giving your their name and email address.

7. Create a squeeze page for lead generation. A squeeze page is just what it sounds like — a web site page that “squeezes” contact info out of a visitor. I have a content-rich ebook that I give away to new visitors. One of my promotional strategies is to list the domain for that squeeze page and write very compelling copy about why they would want this information. I get 10-15 new subscribers per day with this technique.

8. Make an offer in your signature file. Don’t overlook the power of an effective email signature. Whether you use it on a discussion list, online forum, online networking site, or just in an email that gets forwarded to someone else, ensure your signature file works for you. In it, make an offer for your free give-away and let the reader know how they can receive that info. I’ve been hooked more than once by a compelling email signature — they really work!

9. Create a visual icon for your newsletter. Visitors respond better to pictures than words. If they can see a visual representation of your newsletter or of your give-away, they are more likely to see the value in what you’re offering and part with their contact info.

10. Use a pop-up or pop-over box on your web site. Yes, pop-up boxes are annoying, but they’re quite effective. There are many new varieties now available that look like sticky notes or a paper list, or ones that seem to bounce on your screen. Most of these newer varieties are not blocked by pop-up blocker software. You’ll want to use one that’s eye-catching, contains a very compelling offer to subscribe, and won’t be blocked by your visitor’s browser.

11. Make subscribing to your newsletter your #1 goal at events. Anytime I attend an in-person networking event or speak at a meeting, my primary goal is to get people to subscribe to my email newsletter. I simply ask people to indicate they want to receive my newsletter by placing an “X” on the back of their business card, and then I add them to my list and they are sent my opt-in message. At one event, I had to tell the women at my table what I needed in the next 30 days, and I said I wanted subscribers to my newsletter. Every woman at the table gave me her card and said, “Sign me up!”

12. Offer a free sample or your archives for viewing. Some visitors have to be shown before they bite, so show them where you archive your prior issues and let them experience first-hand all the value you offer in your newsletter. Once convinced, they’ll sign up!

13. Ask for referrals from your readers. In your newsletter or on your web site, ask your readers to “tell a friend” about your newsletter. There are both free and paid services that offer this option, Bravenet.com being one of the more popular ones.

14. Get your articles published in other ezines. Writing articles and having them published online or in other people’s newsletters or blogs has been a tremendous asset in helping me grow my list. Make sure that your article resource box (the info that appears about you at the end of your article) includes your compelling offer to get readers to sign up for your newsletter and receive your free gift.

15. Advertise on the back of your business card. The back of my business card contains compelling copy about the free give-away I offer for subscribing to my newsletter. Don’t let the back of your business card go to waste and stay blank — make that space work for you by helping you add subscribers to your newsletter list.

Growing your list takes time. Better to have well-qualified prospects on your list who are truly interested in what you offer than a large list of people who never read what you write. Implement 1-2 of these strategies each week to grow your well-qualified email newsletter list.
